One of the great things about traveling by motorcycle is the freedom of it all. One option is to pack next to nothing by staying in hotels and eating at local restaurants and road side diners for all your meal, which is one extreme. Or the other extreme is you can pack everything you could possibly need for a long distance trip, spending every night under the stars, cooking your meals either over an open fire or one a camp stove. Most people prefer something in the middle or even a combination.
